Part 1: Our First Night at Home🤍

Part 1: Our First Night at Home🤍

🌸 BABY & BLOOM MOM BLOG🌸

Our first night at home with Izzy felt a little scary.

We arrived home in the late afternoon, and suddenly it was just us and this tiny, precious little human. 🥹

What were we supposed to do next?!

We had also heard so many different opinions about bathing, so we decided to leave it for the next day and just enjoy our first night together.

I remember going to bed completely exhausted after all the excitement, but my C-section wound was still very tender.

One little thing that helped me was placing a sanitary pad over the wound for some extra cushioning and support. 🤍

Then came the three-hourly feeds…

10pm.
1am.
4am.

While everyone else was fast asleep, I was sitting in my rocking chair with my little miracle in my arms, breastfeeding and soaking up those quiet moments together. 🫶

And honestly?

I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

I remember thinking:

“I love being your mama, and I’m going to soak up every one of these little moments.” 🤍

Breastfeeding has been such a beautiful journey for us, and I’m so thankful that my body has been able to nourish our little Izzy.

Those long nights were tiring, but they were also some of the most precious moments. 🌙🤍

Stay tuned for Part 2…
